Visitors to Whispering Rise cannot help but notice Mushu with his beautiful markings and radiant smile! He is a friendly and gentle fellow, so he’s often invited to join the gang at community fairs and festivals.

Mushu joined the sanctuary in December 2020 when he was about 3 years old. A friend of the sanctuary discovered that he was confined in a basement due to aggression. She asked the owners if she could take him and give him a fuller life. She initially rented barn space at a farm for him and eventually moved him to Whispering Rise.

Mushu now spends his days as a “yard pig” and can usually be found following the produce cart around hoping a banana falls out. He spends his leisure time napping with Stardust and Lulu the Diva Pig and always takes time to stop and smell the roses.
