Have you fallen in love with a pig at Whispering Rise Farm Animal Sanctuary? Are you dreaming of daily doses of Pig Magic? Many of the residents at Whispering Rise Farm Animal Sanctuary would love to be a part of your family!
Placing potbellies in loving homes is an important part of our mission, allowing WRFAS to offer a safe haven for more pigs in need. Check our Current Residents page for more information about the fabulous pigs at WRFAS! We can help you find the pig of your dreams, and a fellow herd mate to keep him or her company.
Potbellies are lots of work but are also lots of fun! Their intelligence and personalities are very rewarding. Your help, home, and hospitality could save a life!
Families will have the opportunity to visit and bond with their future family member at the sanctuary. All potbellies are spayed/neutered if medically appropriate. WRFAS will provide mentoring to new pig parents as needed.
Adoption Guidelines
In order to be considered for a pig adoption, you must meet the guidelines below:
🗸 Own your home and confirm that zoning allows for potbellied pigs
🗸 Locate a veterinarian who will care for pet pigs
🗸 Currently have a pig or have a willingness to adopt two pigs
🗸 Visit the sanctuary to meet our pigs
🗸 Provide a “pig-friendly” indoor or outdoor environment
🗸 Provide shelter and secure fencing for outdoors
🗸 Invite a WRFAS representative for a home visit
