Ethan
If you’ve seen us at a community fair or festival, chances are you’ve met the lovable Ethan! He adores hugs, belly rubs and outings—the perfect sanctuary event pig and WRFAS ambassador.
He began his piggy journey as a pet mascot of a trucking company in Western Maryland. He was overfed and kept in a too-small harness that ultimately caused a spinal deformity. When Ethan came to us in 2016 as a young two-year-old pig, he was grossly overweight and barely mobile. He spent his first few weeks in our infirmary so he could have a closely monitored diet and acclimate to the sanctuary. As his weight dropped, his mobility improved and his loving personality began to shine.
Ethan’s best friend and hut-mate is the spunky and spotted Pokey Maxx.
