Posey is a beautiful little girl with a big personality! She is bright, lively, social and loves attention from pigs and people alike. She is very treat-motivated and learns quickly.

She joined our young, active herd in July 2021 as a 1-year-old piglet. She spent her first year as a much-loved family pet but was becoming nippy and lunging at the adults and children in the household. At the sanctuary, her rowdy behavior like jumping on people and other pigs initially continued. As time passed, the calming influence of the herd (and maturity) took effect. She will now flop down for belly rubs and snuggles. Despite her small size—under 100 pounds—she tries hard to be the boss and dominate her much bigger herd mates.

Posey now has the best of both worlds—a loving family that visits her regularly and a pig family to fulfill her natural, piggy needs. We are so happy to have Posey as part of our Whispering Rise family!
