Meet Tennessee Dave!

He came to Whispering Rise from rural (you guessed it!) Tennessee. His family surrendered Dave and Gidget to another sanctuary when he was about ten years old because they lived in extreme poverty and were no longer able to afford their care. He can be a bit intimidating due to his size and enthusiasm for, but this old guy is very friendly.

You can tell Dave apart from the rest of the herd very easily with his tall, lean frame, goofy trot, white feet, and white blaze between his eyes. If you see him before feeding time, there is a good chance he will hop up on the gate and greet you with a big eager smile!
